Are you looking for better than showroom new for your classic automobile's finish?
At Sudzie Autowash, we believe we have the solution for the discriminating classic automobile owner. We have done extensive research to come up with a combination of polishing and waxing that will give your classic automobile a shine so deep that you could shave while looking into it. We use special polishes specifically designed for a random orbital machine (unlike other polishes that are created for straight drive machines) where the friction and temperature on the paint is almost non-existent.
Do you have any swirl marks or scratches in your vehicle's finish? No problem. Our polishes are designed to be safe and effective at removing swirl marks and scratches from all painted surfaces. Many vehicles come from the dealership with nearly flawless paint and only have light swirls and toweling marks. Our process will eliminate those micro-fine toweling marks and swirls, especially in dark paints.
The Classic Wax® at Sudzie includes the perfect polish for your automobile followed with a finish coat of our Carnauba Wax or the fabulous Best of Show Wax® for a truly flawless finish. Best of Show® is a non-silicone, carnauba-based liquid wax that produces incredible color, depth, and clarity with just one application. Our supplier of this fine product doesn't call it "Best of Show" for nothing.
Best of Show Wax® is a registered trade mark of Griot's Garage, Inc.

What is the best way to wash your car?
According to the International Car Wash Association, “There are really two options for washing your car – doing it at home or taking it to a professional car wash center". Most people think the way to give your car the best wash possible is the “old-fashioned” way – in the driveway, at home. While that can prove to be a fun afternoon activity, it can actually be quite harmful to both your car and the environment. However, taking your car to a professional carwash can ensure a safe and thorough cleaning as well as provide the means to protect the environment around you.
Did you know? Washing your car at home can use up to 100 gallons of water per wash and most people do not know the harm that this waste water causes to our evironment!
Most people who wash their cars at home do so in their driveways or out on the street. The water, chemicals in the soaps and products you use run directly into the storm drains in the street. Water that comes from storm sewers is not treated at a wastewater treatment plant and flows directly into local streams, lakes and rivers. It can get into drinking water and harm local wild life. Even when you use products that claim to be biodegradable and/or non-toxic, the harmful pollutants and debris you wash off of your vehicle make their way into the water system.
Professional car wash centers are built to provide appropriate drainage that ensures harmful chemicals do not make it into the local storm water drainage system. In fact, many of them filter the water they use, and often recycle it.
Did you know that on average, Sudzie Autowash collects over 30,000 pounds (15 tons) of sand and silt from the cars we clean during a given year? This material is kept off our roadways and ultimately out of the storm water system. We have a professional waste management program in place to ensure that our waste is kept out of the local storm water system and minimizes any solids from entering the sewer system.

To all of our loyal customers:
This winter has been especially harsh. Storm after storm has wreaked havoc on the roads and especially on one your most valuable assets – your car. During the past couple of Sudzie Insider newsletters, we have discussed the importance of washing the corrosive deposits of salt and sand from your vehicle on a regular basis. Never has it been more important than
now to take this professional advice! Many municipalities have been using a pre-treatment chemical on our roads to get ahead of the storm. Recently, Randy Billings of the Southern Forecaster published an excellent article defining this pre-treatment process and it’s harmful effects on our vehicles if they are not properly taken care of on a regular basis.
Please note: It is critical after each and every storm that you get your car washed and have the undercarriage washed and treated with Sudzie's rust inhibitor protection. Recently, we talked about the importance of protecting our vehicle with Rain-X body protection but have neglected to inform our most valued customers of the importance for taking the same care our of vehicles chassis.
As Featured in The Southern Forecaster February 8th, 2008
I would like to thank both Randy Billings and Ginie Thorp of the Forecaster for allowing us to distribute this article to our Loyal Promotion members. Please take a look at the Forecasters website as well www.theforecaster.net

Did you ever wonder what we do on a rain or a snow day when we are closed due to the weather? Typically, we use that time to do routine maintenance work and cleaning. We used a recent rain day to help the Children's Museum of Maine with a special Whale Wash. That's right, Istar the inflatable whale needed a bath and the Children's Museum turned to Sudzie for the job.
